"A Fashionable Rebirth" depicts an abstract world that showcases the marvels that come from sustainable fashion. Using the Metaphor of a singular yarn ball causing an endless ripple, it symbolizes how the smallest change toward sustainability can create a wave of difference in how we dress in our day-to-day life. With the fast-paced movements and swirling of cloth and mannequins it creates a sense of anticipation and change. Giving the sense that progress is being made in the effort to shine light on more sustainable products in stores.

As the animation comes to a close, our audience is treated with the imagery of a giant flowing yarn ball to incapsulate the entire process and theme of sustainability, coming in the form of sustainable materials. After all, sustainability is our work in progress, and motivating people to make that sustainable change is what this animation is all about.

The main message of our short animation, “A Fashionable Rebirth”, is taking simple and easy steps into contributing to sustainability. People may think that sustainability is too big of a deal to get themselves involved. But in fact, it is as simple as shopping for cloths that use sustainable material such as Tencel. TAFF or rather the Textile and Fashion Federation in Design Orchard, actively promotes programs as well as products that contribute to sustainability. Through simple to search hashtags such as #EnableTheChange, #FashionTheChange and #ShopTheChange scattered throughout the video. Therefore, we hope to inspire our viewers through this animatic.
